The units/modules will address grade level Next Generation Science Standards as well as reinforcegrade level ELA Common Core State Standards The workbook aims to develop students’ knowledge of key contributions made by inventors and scientists ofAfrican descent in various areas of technology and science. Students will also have the opportunity to practice literacy skills by closely reading informational texts, answering text dependent questions, conducting research and producing writing in various formats.
