Diese Forschung zielt darauf ab, die Vogelbeobachtung als nachhaltiges Geschäftsmodell mit sozio-ökologischem Wert zu analysieren und dabei Konzepte des Ökotourismus, der Bürgerwissenschaft und des grünen Unternehmertums miteinander zu verbinden. Ausgehend vom Kontext der Region Capão Bonito (SP) und den Staatsparks Intervales und Carlos Botelho untersucht die Studie, wie die Aktivität Einkommen, Umweltschutz und ökologische Bildung generieren kann, insbesondere für kleine ländliche Landbesitzer. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Vogelbeobachtung lokale Produktionsketten wie Unterkunft, Verpflegung, Transport, Führer, Kunsthandwerk und optische Ausrüstung anregt und ein Potenzial für die Expansion in ländlichen und städtischen Gebieten aufweist. Darüber hinaus fördert die Aktivität die Umwelterziehung, die Aufwertung lokaler Gemeinschaften und den Schutz gefährdeter Arten und ist ein praktisches Beispiel für grüne Wirtschaft und nachhaltige Entwicklung sowie eine therapeutische Aktivität.
