Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Individuum, Gruppe, Gesellschaft, Note: 1,7, Leuphana Universität Lüneburg (INFU), Veranstaltung: Nachhaltigkeit und gesellschaftliche Entwicklungen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit soll der Frage nachgegangen werden, wie das Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) als Wohlfahrtsindex zu bewerten sei, welche alternativen Ansätze zur Messung von Wohlfahrt es gibt und wie deren gegenwärtiger und zukünftiger Einsatz betrachtet werden kann. Dabei sollen nach einer kurzen Definition der für diese Arbeit relevanten Begrifflichkeiten zunächst das BIP sowie alternative Wohlfahrtsindizes skizziert und anschießend auf ihre Stärken und Schwächen hin analysiert und diskutiert werden. Anschließend sollen verschiedene Expertenmeinungen in Hinblick auf die zukünftige Entwicklung und Verwendung von alternativen Wohlfahrtsmaßen kurz umrissen werden. Diese Arbeit schließt mit einem Fazit der Autorin. 3
