From repair to regeneration, biomaterials are reshaping modern dentistry. This dissertation explores the evolution of biomaterials in Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics-from conventional materials to bioactive, biomimetic, nanostructured and regenerative systems. It highlights their role in remineralization, healing, repair and regeneration, with applications in restorative dentistry, pulp therapy, root repair, obturation and regenerative endodontics. Special emphasis is placed on calcium silicate-based materials, bioceramics and nanomaterials, along with emerging concepts such as smart biomaterials and regenerative scaffolds.Overall, biomaterials represent the transition from conventional restoration to minimally invasive, biologically driven and regenerative dentistry.
