Questo lavoro consiste nel valutare la qualità dei suoli dei frammenti forestali urbani situati nella città di San Paolo, in particolare nei parchi Cientec, Cantareira e Jaraguá, attraverso l’uso di indicatori biologici. Questi ambienti hanno già subito interventi antropici e oggi si trovano in fase di rigenerazione. La comprensione dei cambiamenti ambientali dei siti, quali: ambienti contrastanti delle parcelle campionate (presenza o assenza di canali di drenaggio), precipitazioni accumulate nei giorni di raccolta, temperatura del suolo (ºC), attributi chimici (pH, C.O, P, K, Ca, Mg, Al, H+Al, SB, CTC, V% e m%) e indici di diversità (ricchezza, indice di Simpson ed equabilità), sommati alla diversità ecologica funzionale degli organismi, alla loro stratificazione nel suolo, alle abitudini alimentari, alla dinamica di bioperdurtazione, alla diversità in termini di specie , genere e famiglie, biomassa (g.m²) e densità (Ind.m²), giustificano l’uso dei bioindicatori come strumento importante per la comprensione dei processi ecosistemici che avvengono in questi residui urbani in fase di ristrutturazione, evidenziando l’importanza del presente caso di studio.
