Big League Dreams

Big League Dreams follows Logan Thompson, a young man standing at the edge of adulthood while carrying the weight of a loss he has never fully escaped.Baseball was once the center of Logan’s world. His father taught him the game, coached him, pushed him, and filled the field with sayings Logan would never forget. Then, after his father’s sudden death, Logan walked away from baseball and tried to leave that part of his life behind.Years later, as graduation approaches, Logan’s future feels uncertain. His girlfriend, Michelle, reminds him that the Centerville Bandits are holding open tryouts for the first time in decades. Logan is reluctant, but the pull of the game-and the memories of his father-prove impossible to ignore. What begins as one unlikely tryout becomes a journey through competition, friendship, heartbreak, road trips, hitting streaks, slumps, and second chances. Along the way, Logan meets veteran ballplayer Travis 'Tank' Stevenson, whose humor and mentorship help Logan rediscover the confidence he thought he had lost. But baseball is only part of the story. As Logan fights for a place in the game, he must also decide what kind of man he wants to become. Relationships change. Dreams pull people in different directions. Family secrets force him to reconsider everything he believed about his father’s past. And Logan begins to understand that sometimes giving up one dream can actually mean choosing something even greater.Warm, funny, emotional, and filled with the language and culture of baseball, Big League Dreams is a coming-of-age story about fathers and sons, friendship, love, grief, and the courage to chase a dream after believing it was gone forever.Because sometimes the hardest part of chasing a dream isn’t reaching the big leagues. It’s discovering why you wanted the dream in the first place.
