Every year over 2 million tourists visit Mount Rushmore National Monument in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Like the rest of America, the existing life styles and beliefs of the people living between the River and the Hills were challenged by new ideas coming across the airways into their radios and TV sets from 1962 to 1972. Throughout that decade, baseball provided tradition and unchanging rules in a seemingly ever-changing society.
