Between Sunsets is a collection of narrative and free verse poetry and prose. The text memorializes transitions of seasons, relationships, and lives. The poetry and vignettes illustrate the power of friendships; the women in this collection fortify and care for one another. Profound grief emerges when friends transition from the earth. The poetry inspires connection with nature, mindfulness, and awareness of surroundings. The poetry takes on the challenges of fighting against norms and embraces the pursuit of self-empowerment and self-actualization. 6
