Einleitung: Zolpidem ist ein Nicht-Benzodiazepin-Hypnotikum zur Behandlung von Schlaflosigkeit, das selektiv an die Alpha1-Einheit der GABA-Rezeptoren bindet. Die therapeutischen Dosen reichen von 5 mg bis 10 mg pro Tag. Die kontinuierliche Einnahme sowie höhere Dosen werden mit Gedächtnisverlust, Toleranz, Abhängigkeit und Entzugssyndrom in Verbindung gebracht. Letzteres ist mit Angstsymptomen, Schlafstörungen, autonomen Funktionsstörungen und Krampfanfällen verbunden. Ziele: Analyse von 40 klinischen Fällen, die in der Literatur als Fallserien von Zolpidem-Abhängigkeit und deren Behandlung beschrieben sind, sowie des Vorhandenseins von damit verbundenen psychiatrischen Pathologien.
