’Before I became a house wife’, is the second installment of Debbie Raymond-Pinet’s books of being a stay at home Mom. The first named ’Tales of a house wife’ was released in November 2006 and journey’s through her role as a wife, mother and her emotions dealing with change, busy schedules, and post partum depression. ’Before I became a house wife’ is also a true story on her childhood with a large family unit, an alcoholic father, who found sobriety. And, the teen years forming questions on realism on sexuality. It climaxes her relationships with men and how they helped her flourish into the woman she is today. A strong, independent, pride filled wife and mother of two. It shows the struggle a child goes through when a parent has a substance abuse issue. But, it also shows the love she carried on for her family, no matter what. Her faith kept her positive even as a child. She explores what religion has taught her, and sets a landscape for the future. It’s an enjoyable, emotional, easy read with an understanding on maturity and love.
