Adding to thisthe increasing complexity of information systems, theneed for adaptive personalisation is there.In this book we look at adaptive systems from theperspective of interactive systems. We provide amodel for adaptive behaviour, and describe how it hasbeen extended to provide an adaptation engine. The model is a further basis for a method fordesigning adaptive personalisation in an informationsystem. As part of the method, an extensiveevaluation framework is provided that allows theevaluation of the design of the personalisationduring the various stages of the method.
