The book is catechetic and apologetic, dealing clearly with uncertainties about the faith of the Catholic Church. It is meant to instruct believers who may know only the superficial basics, so that they would be more able to understand and defend their faith confronted by dislike, misunderstandings, or traditional prejudice. Each of the 21 chapters has a different theme, and includes biblical references necessary for deeper grasp of the subject. BP3 would be useful for group study, if possible or necessary, and could be a source of homilies for parish-priests of parishes. It cannot be read like a novel, but must be used with a Bible nearby, because of the references.
