In Burkina Faso, il sostegno psicosociale ai minori vittime di violenza sessuale non è un aspetto secondario delle politiche sociali, come dimostra la presenza di numerosi centri di sostegno. Tuttavia, nonostante gli sforzi compiuti, la frequenza di questi centri rimane bassa.Il nostro obiettivo è descrivere e analizzare i fattori che limitano la frequenza dei minori vittime di violenza sessuale in queste strutture nella città di Ouagadougou.A tal fine, in questo studio è stato privilegiato l’approccio qualitativo. Sono state effettuate una revisione della letteratura sull’argomento e indagini sul campo. I risultati mostrano che la debolezza della struttura organizzativa e funzionale dei centri di supporto, così come le rappresentazioni sociali della violenza sessuale, sono effettivamente delle barriere alla richiesta di supporto psicosociale per i minori vittime di violenza sessuale nei centri.
