Niniejsze badanie dotyczy funduszy PE/VC i IPO w Brazylii. Jego głównym celem jest sprawdzenie, czy wkład funduszy PE/VC przyczynia się do poprawy wyników przedsiębiorstw. W celu sprawdzenia wyników rynkowych i księgowych wykorzystano dane wtórne z indeksów udostępnionych przez Economática. Próba została ograniczona do przedsiębiorstw, które w latach 2004-2010 weszły na giełdę BMF&BOVESPA. Zastosowano podejście ilościowe. Za pomocą testów nieparametrycznych stwierdzono, że przedsiębiorstwa, które otrzymały fundusze PE/VC, osiągają lepsze wyniki rynkowe. Nie było wystarczających dowodów, aby stwierdzić, czy przedsiębiorstwa, które otrzymały wsparcie finansowe z funduszy PE/VC, osiągają lepsze wyniki księgowe.
