Esta pesquisa conclui a minha jornada de mestrado. Trabalhei como enfermeira clínica especialista em reumatologia durante vários anos. Fiquei impressionada com a fortaleza dos pacientes que conheci e fiquei interessada em ver se podemos ou não medir alguns aspetos da qualidade de vida que são importantes para eles. Descobri que qualidade de vida tem significados diferentes para pessoas diferentes, o que torna muito difícil medi-la. Existem muitas medidas de qualidade de vida relacionada com a saúde disponíveis e tentei descrever a utilização dessas medidas em pessoas com artrite reumatoide.
