This is the second book in the two-part 'Autumn Daffodils' story. Joanna has had no contact with Charlie for the past thirty years. She lives in America where she has become the self-styled 'Queen of Washington' while he is content with his quiet life in England. When Joanna dramatically re-enters Charlie’s life she brings with her a thirty year old secret of which he knew nothing. His life is turned inexorably upside down, as are those of his friends. Charlie and Joanna have only two things in common, their shared secret, and their undying love for each other. Neither of them has ever been complete without the other, but separate lives and an ocean continue to stand between them. The culmination of 'Charlie’s Story' could not be more dramatic and heart-stopping but this is merely the starting point for 'Joanna’s Story'. She doesn’t so much walk off the page as burst out of it. The thought-provoking narrative layered beneath the story is provided by Joanna’s inner thoughts. Rather than being just an observer you are invited to share those inner thoughts and to experience life from her perspective. She will ask questions of the reader, and she will most probably break your heart in the process. The strange thing is that like Charlie you will forgive her whatever she does. Be assured Joanna will take your breath away.Peter Turnham is also the author of the 'None Stood Taller' series, set in World War Two, which follow the life and loves of Lily and her great friend Dotty, as they take part in the preparations for the D-Day Landings, through their work with the British SOE, Special Operations Executive.

Stuart Evans’s first novel is a comedy-of-ill-manners set in a nouveau riche milieu: a fantastic satirical performance and hyper-referential homage to masters past and present.
