Die Desinfektion von Wasser ist ein wichtiger Prozess und eine Herausforderung im Kampf gegen Krankheiten, und dies gilt nicht nur für Trinkwasser, das für den menschlichen Verzehr geeignet ist, sondern auch für Wasser, das für nicht trinkbare Zwecke verwendet wird. In diesem Buch geht es um die Entwicklung eines automatischen Dosiersystems im geschlossenen Kreislauf zur Desinfektion von Regenwasser für den Brauchwasserbereich mit Natriumhypochlorit als Desinfektionsmittel. Der Prototyp wurde mit einem Mikrocontroller, einer Schlauchpumpe, einem 5-Volt-Relais, einem Display sowie einem Sensor für den Natriumhypochlorit-Füllstand und einem Regenwassersensor entwickelt, wobei letzterer zur Kontrolle des diskreten Volumens dieser Flüssigkeit dient. Bei den Kalibrierungstests hat der Prototyp sehr gut funktioniert und die Synchronisation zwischen allen beteiligten Geräten gewährleistet. Die Lektüre dieses Buches zeigt, dass es möglich ist, Regenwasser für nicht trinkbare Zwecke mit Natriumhypochlorit automatisch und kostengünstig zu desinfizieren und die in diesem Wasser enthaltenen Krankheitserreger zu beseitigen, und zwar für jedermann zugänglich.
