Viele Pestizide werden in großem Umfang zum Schutz von Pflanzen vor Krankheiten, Unkraut und Insektenbefall eingesetzt und kommen in der Regel mit dem Boden in Berührung, wo sie eine Vielzahl von Umwandlungen durchlaufen, die ein komplexes Muster von Metaboliten ergeben. Dieser Artikel gibt einen Überblick über die wichtigsten Analysemethoden zur Bestimmung von Pestiziden und deren Umwandlungsprodukten in Böden. Wir gehen auf einige neuere Fortschritte bei der Probenahme und Probenvorbereitung für die Bodenanalyse ein. Wir erörtern und bewerten kritisch Verfahren wie Flüssigextraktionsmethoden (Flüssigextraktion unter Druck oder mikrowellenunterstützte Extraktion) und festphasenbasierte Methoden (Headspace-Festphasen-Mikroextraktion, Festphasen-Mikroextraktion oder Matrix-Festphasen-Dispersion). Die Analyse von Pestiziden erfolgt im Allgemeinen durch Gaschromatographie (GC) oder Flüssigchromatographie (LC) in Verbindung mit verschiedenen Detektoren, insbesondere mit Massenspektrometern (MS). In jüngster Zeit sind jedoch alternative und/oder ergänzende Methoden aufgetaucht, die Kapillarelektrophorese (CE), Biosensoren und Bioassays verwenden. Wir betrachten auch die Vor- und Nachteile der verschiedenen Methoden.
