Ziel dieser Studie ist es, die Gründe zu ermitteln, die die Entscheidung von Studenten, das College abzubrechen, beeinflussen. Die Studie versucht, einige wirksame Abhilfemaßnahmen vorzuschlagen, die den Verbleib der Schüler in der Schule verbessern könnten. Schüler brechen die Schule aus vielen Gründen ab, von denen einige außerhalb der Schule liegen und einige mit der Ausbildung zusammenhängen. Daher ist es schwierig, vorherzusagen, welche Schüler die Schule abbrechen werden. Da es in unserem Land keine strengen Evaluierungen von Programmen zur Verhinderung und Behebung von Schulabbrüchen gibt, gibt es auch keine eindeutigen Beweise für die „besten' Programme und Praktiken, die die Abbrecherquote in Indien senken könnten.
