This is the text of August Hermann Francke’s sermon, 'August Hermann Franckens, S. S. Theol. P. P. Ord. & Past. Glauch. Erweckungs-rede Zum Lobe Gottes Und Zum Vertrauen Auff Gott,' delivered on April 29, 1701, at the newly established orphanage in Glaucha, near Halle. Francke, a prominent theologian and pastor, uses this 'Erweckungs-rede' (awakening speech) to praise God and encourage trust in Him within the context of the orphanage’s founding.
