Ziel unserer Studie ist es, die Faktoren zu identifizieren, die die Lebensfähigkeit und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der pharmazeutischen Industrie in Madagaskar beeinträchtigen, und Möglichkeiten für den Aufbau einer lokalen pharmazeutischen Industrie zu untersuchen. Der nationale Kontext zeigt eine starke Abhängigkeit von Arzneimittelimporten. Die Studie untersucht strukturelle Herausforderungen, insbesondere den unzureichenden Rechtsrahmen und die hohen Produktionskosten, die die Lebensfähigkeit dieses Sektors beeinträchtigen. Anhand einer Methodik, die auf Umfragen, quantitativen und qualitativen Analysen basiert, wurden zwei Haupthypothesen getestet: die Auswirkungen der Rechtsgrundlagen auf die Lebensfähigkeit des Sektors und die Auswirkungen der Produktionskosten auf die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Die Ergebnisse unterstreichen die Bedeutung von Gesetzesreformen und die Notwendigkeit, die Energie-, Lohn- und Rohstoffkosten zu kontrollieren. Dieses Projekt steht im Zeichen der öffentlichen Gesundheit und der wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung und entspricht den Bedürfnissen der madagassischen Bevölkerung.
