The economic growth of a nation is closely linked to the quality of education, which, in turn, depends on the competence and dedication of teachers. In modern India, the education system has evolved significantly, bringing a transformation in the role and expectations of teachers. Various laws and acts have been introduced to support and improve teacher performance nationwide. However, the journey of private school teachers has not been without challenges. Despite their contributions, they often face difficulties regarding job stability, inadequate facilities, and lack of legislative support.Many teachers in private institutions continue to struggle with unfulfilled expectations from both the government and school management. Additionally, the shortage of qualified teachers exacerbates inequalities in education, affecting learning opportunities for students from different social classes. This shortage also places a burden on existing teachers, further contributing to professional dissatisfaction and burnout.Monitoring and addressing teacher attrition is crucial to ensuring a steady supply of well-trained and motivated educators. This study focuses on identifying the key reasons behind the high attrition rate among teachers in private schools. It aims to provide valuable insights for school management to recognize shortcomings and implement necessary changes. Moreover, the study offers practical suggestions to effectively address this issue, promoting a more supportive and sustainable teaching environment.
