Atheron: The Call of Veydrath is an epic high fantasy saga of prophecy, pride, and fragile unity set in a world trembling on the edge of rebirth and ruin. When a crimson fire stirs beneath the mountains of Atheron, five races including humans, elves, dwarves, halflings, and gnomes must confront an ancient power awakening from the depths and the divisions within their own hearts. At the story’s core stands Mira Underbough, a halfling baker haunted by dreams of a red light devouring the sky. Alongside her are Raven Myers, a human soldier burdened by duty and doubt, Zal Silverfang, an elven ranger whose faith has been eroded by centuries of false prophecy, and Fizzleburn, a brilliant yet chaotic gnome inventor whose misfires often cause as much trouble as they prevent. Over them watches Mentalbus, the elder archmage of the Arcanum of Dawnfire, a scholar who remembers the first forging of the Soul Gem and the ancient sin that bound the chaos demon Veydrath deep beneath the mountains. When Havenmoor falls to fire and darkness, the five races unite in desperation. In the mountain citadel of Dawnfire, their fragile alliance is forged amid suspicion and pride. Dwarves demand debt and recompense, elves speak in riddles of coming ruin, humans hunger for leadership, halflings beg for peace, and gnomes chase salvation through invention. Yet even as they march beneath a single banner, mistrust festers. Beneath every oath, the crimson fire grows stronger, feeding on anger and division. From the burning plains of Havenmoor to the silver groves of the elves, from the dwarven forges echoing with defiance to the gnomish workshops of Hollowspire, the companions uncover a terrible truth. The crimson glow is not mere magic but a living consciousness. It whispers through dreams and rage, twisting the hearts of kings and soldiers alike. Veydrath, the chained will of creation itself, stirs once more, yearning for release. As the armies of Atheron clash and alliances fracture, Mira’s visions become a map to the world’s unraveling. Raven must decide whether honor means obedience or rebellion. Zal faces the haunting realization that prophecy and manipulation may be one and the same. Fizzleburn, whose curiosity once brought laughter, must risk his own life to contain the very fire his inventions helped awaken.Through loss, betrayal, and the unrelenting call of the crimson light, the heroes of Atheron stand between creation and collapse. Their choices will determine whether the world unites against the coming darkness or feeds the very fire that seeks to consume it.Atheron: The Call of Veydrath is a sweeping tale of magic and mortality, of faith turned to ash and courage kindled from the smallest spark. It is the story of how kingdoms fall, how alliances fracture, and how even the humblest soul, a halfling’s dream, a gnome’s invention, a soldier’s defiance, and an elf’s mercy, can change the fate of an entire world.

His name is Fizzleburn, though it didn’t start that way.Once, he was simply Blizzit Geargrin, an eager young gnome from the quiet hill-mines of Atheron, accepted into the Arcanum only because his uncle, Professor Mentalbus, called in every favor he could. Blizzit wasn’t the best student. He wasn’t even the second-best. His spells fizzled, his potions boiled over, and his experi...

  • Sharks Aren’t Real

Did you know that 'sharks' are nothing more than Hollywood rubber puppets and Discovery Channel computer graphics? If they were real, producers of Jaws wouldn’t have spent millions on a fake monster-they’d have just hired a trainer and rented one from SeaWorld. 'Fluffy the Shark' would’ve been cheaper and way more entertaining. And don’t get me started on 'Shark Week.' It began ...
