El Poli es consciente de los retos de atender a una población estudiantil diversa en edad, historia de vida, nivel de ingreso y antecedentes educativos. Lainstitución brinda alternativas para asegurar que cada uno de sus estudiantes puedan culminar exitosamente su programa de formación y vincularse a unaactividad laboral satisfactoria. En esta publicación, titulada Atención a la diversidad en educación superior desde una mirada interdisciplinar, se aborday se comparte con todos los actores del sistema de educación superior la experiencia del Poli en este frente.Las buenas prácticas en materia de atención a la diversidad, compartidas en esta publicación, están íntimamente asociadas con dos valores institucionalesdel Poli: la equidad y la pertinencia. La equidad está vinculada a la noción de justicia en autores como John Rawls. Una institución equitativa se haceresponsable de las diferencias que obstaculizan el desarrollo de las capacidades de los más vulnerables. En este sentido, la equidad se materializa en políticas de admisión, programas para compensar condiciones iniciales de desventaja, una docencia centrada en el aprendizaje y la prevención de la deserción.Ponemos a disposición de los distintos actores del sistema de educación superior nuestra experiencia en la implementación de la educación inclusivaen este nivel. Esperamos que esta publicación se convierta en un referente importante en la materia y que les permita a otras instituciones de educaciónsuperior continuar el camino de la educación inclusiva y las características de las comunidades universitarias diversas.
