Die folgenden Ausflihrungen liber Farbensehen grlinden sich in erster Li­ nie auf Ergebnisse der subjektiven Sinnesphysiologie, die liblicherwei­ se auch 'Psychophysik' genannt wird. Wir beschranken uns dabei auf sol­ che Erscheinungen, die sich linear beschreiben lassen. Wichtige Grund­ lagen dazu hat Erwin Schrodinger (1920) mit seiner 'Niederen Farben­ metrik' gelegt. Begriffliche Anleihen machen wir auch aus der Theorie der linearen Abbildungen (Abschnitte 2, 4). Wir bedienen uns einer solchen zur 1 i n ear e n Beschreibung einer physiologischen Erre­ gungslibertragung (Abschnitt 9). Wie weit biophysikalische und elektro­ physiologische Ergebnisse mit dieser psychophysisch begrlindeten Uber­ tragungstheorie im Einklang sind, wird anschlieBend dargestellt (Ab­ schnitte 10, 11). Wichtige technische Bedeutung hat das Farbsystem CIE 1931 erlangt. In einem Anhang (Abschnitt 12) wollen wir dieses System aus unserer psychophysischen Sicht betrachten. 1m folgenden nennen wir eine Auswahl neuerer Blicher, die flir unser Thema von Interesse sind: Le Grand (1972), Judd and Wyszecki (1975), Richter (1976), Billmeyer and Wyszecki (1978), Lang (1978), Stiles (1978), Wasserman (1978), Boynton (1979), Agoston (1979), Pokorny et al.
