O eritema pigmentar fixo (EPF) é uma toxidermia benigna muito frequente porque é muito fácil de diagnosticar. O seu diagnóstico é essencialmente clínico. A presença de máculas hiperpigmentadas no mesmo local, num contexto de ingestão de medicamentos, constitui um forte argumento para o diagnóstico. O objetivo do nosso estudo foi enumerar os medicamentos responsáveis pela toxidermia e determinar a via seguida por estes doentes durante o seu tratamento em três centros de dermatologia e venereologia do Benim. Inscrevemos 134 pacientes, 76 homens e 58 mulheres, o que corresponde a uma relação de sexo (M/F) de 1,31. A idade média dos pacientes era de 35,87 anos. A maioria dos doentes foi auto-medicada no hospital. Os principais antecedentes atópicos foram a asma, seguida da conjuntivite alérgica, da sinusite alérgica e do eczema constitucional. A forma comum de EPF foi a mais comum, seguida da forma bolhosa. O paracetamol foi o fármaco mais frequentemente implicado. O tratamento consistiu em evitar o fármaco agressor e em gerir os sintomas.
