This book focuses on the concept of infâk, which can be translated as charity. The author engages in a philological and theological examination of the word, and investigates if the concept existed in pre-Islamic Arab society by studying contemporary works. He then moves on to study the concepts in the Quran that are related to and antithetical to the concept of infaq. The author examines the practical and moral aspects of infaq and inquires into the connection between faith and charity, then discusses the qualities and benefits of charity in this life and the next.
