Das Bedürfnis nach Rechtssicherheit gehört zum Wesen des Rechts. Das Arbeitsstrafrecht im Tschad und in Kamerun ist Teil dieser Logik. Es ist eine Disziplin zwischen Strafrecht und Arbeitsrecht, die bereits im 19. Jahrhundert zu einem Zeitpunkt entstand, als die soziale Ordnung zusätzlichen Schutz benötigte. Es soll also die Sozialvorschriften unterstützen, indem es verbotene Handlungen und eventuell die bei Übertretung zu erwartenden Sanktionen vorschreibt.Die Besonderheit dieser Arbeit besteht darin, dass sie sich mit der Frage befasst, was aus dem Strafrecht wird, wenn es in die soziale Welt, d. h. in das Arbeitsrecht, eindringt. Letzteres hat sich als besonders herausgestellt, und zwar von der Kriminalisierung über das Verfahren bis hin zur Bestrafung.
