La dysplasie cémento-osseuse (DCO) est la lésion fibro- osseuse la plus fréquente affectant les arcades dentaires, caractérisée par le remplacement de l’os normal avec des quantités variables de tissu fibreux contenant du tissu minéralisé néoformé. La DCO est habituellement asymptomatique, la découverte se fait souvent fortuitement lors d’un examen radiologique de routine. Cependant, une complication infectieuse peut survenir et la DCO devient alors symptomatique. L’aspect radiologique de ces lésions peut varier selon le sous-type de la DCO(péri apicale, focale, Floride ou Floride familiale) et le stade de développement atteint par la lésion (précoce, mixte ou mature). En absence de complication, la conduite à tenir est l’abstention et la surveillance.Néanmoins une prise en charge particulière est adressée aux cas symptomatiques.
