Le diagnostic assisté par ordinateur (DAO) constitue depuis une décennie un domaine de recherche majeur. Les systèmes de DAO permettent de détecter et de classer les maladies grâce à l’automatisation ou à la semi-automatisation de l’analyse des images médicales. Le diagnostic assisté par ordinateur traite différentes modalités d’imagerie médicale et comprend deux fonctionnalités principales. La première est la recherche d’images, c’est-à-dire la recherche d’images de types similaires, et la seconde est la classification d’une image donnée. Les images médicales se présentent sous diverses modalités (par exemple, radiographies, IRM, tomodensitométries) et dans différents formats, ce qui pose des défis pour le développement d’une approche unifiée d’extraction de caractéristiques, de recherche et de classification sur divers types d’images, éléments essentiels à la mise au point de systèmes de DCA. Les méthodes de recherche traditionnelles, telles que l’annotation textuelle et les approches basées sur les histogrammes, présentent plusieurs inconvénients majeurs. Ce travail se concentre sur le développement de modèles de recherche d’images médicales basée sur le contenu (CBMIR) et de classification, qui peuvent être utilisés pour mettre au point des systèmes de diagnostic assisté par ordinateur (CAD) efficaces et, par conséquent, apporter une aide complète aux radiologues et aux médecins pour diagnostiquer efficacement les maladies.
