PEROZZIELLOUn saggio che racconta lo svolgersi della Pandemia da Covid-19 da un punto di vista medico, storico e sociale attraverso la forma narrativa del Diario aperto. In questa ricerca, condotta da un medico e storico della medicina, le vicende, a partire dal febbraio 2020 e dall’inizio della Pandemia da Covid-19, sono legate a una rivisitazione del Mondo Tardo Medievale e alla grande Epidemia di Peste Nera degli anni 1347 -1353 con il suo impatto devastante sulla società europea del tempo. La Corte Papale di Avignone, i dubbi del medico di palazzo Guy de Chauliac e le richieste pressanti del pontefice Clemente VI allora regnante, un uomo terrorizzato dal possibile contagio e asserragliato nella sua dimora e fortezza fastosa, descrivono la sorte di milioni di individui destinati a una fine prematura a causa di un nemico invisibile che la medicina del tempo non riuscì a contrastare. Il saggio contiene una riflessione medica, storica e filosofica sulle Epidemie, sul loro essere un fatto culturale oltre che biologico e soprattutto una tragedia mai completamente risolta se non da parte delle generazioni seguenti che hanno l’obbligo morale di non dimenticare questo evento. Per comprendere e per potere ancora ricominciare, nonostante tutto.La presente è la Seconda Edizione ampliata del volume.
