'Apollo The Horse' is the true story of an injured Chestnut Thoroughbred that was one day from being put down, but was rescued by a woman who refused to listen to all the experts and nursed him back to health! This horses will to live, and complete recovery are a testament to patience, love, compassion, not giving up and giving nature time to do it’s work! He has inspired his owners to start a horse rescue 'Kindred Spirits' to help other horses in need. Everyone that was lucky enough to watch the over one year recovery of this horse was inspired in some way. Being able to check on Apollo’s updated progress, thru his owners web site, the reader, young or old, will be inspired also!The books illustrator was one of those lucky people that got to watch the miracle happen! Being one of the author’s boarders, gave the artist a unique day to day perspective and made her the easy choice to create the artwork. She painted 28, 8x10 paintings that do an excellent job bringing the story to life!
