Con questo lavoro intendiamo affrontare l’esperienza mistica come punto culminante della filosofia apofatica di Dionigi, lo Pseudo-Areopagita. La discussione si basa su un’analisi dell’opera Teologia mistica. A tal fine, presentiamo gli argomenti in due momenti. Nella prima parte, abbiamo tracciato un percorso concettuale sul termine mistica, partendo dalla sua base, nonché dalla sua ripercussione nella storia. Nella seconda, abbiamo cercato di spiegare come l’Assoluto velasse nell’oscurità il suo vero essere e la via verso una possibile esperienza mistica. Il testo è il risultato di una ricerca bibliografica in cui abbiamo cercato di rispondere alla seguente domanda: a partire da quale momento il mistico si unisce alla divinità? Siamo giunti alla conclusione che la Teologia Mistica indica la via apofatica che ha come apice lo svuotamento/silenzio e, con ciò, l’identità con il trascendente.
