A última década mostrou que o conceito orientado a objetos por si só não é tão poderoso para lidar com os requisitos em rápida mudança das aplicações em andamento. O sistema baseado em componentes alcança flexibilidade ao separar claramente as partes estáveis dos sistemas (ou seja, componentes) da especificação de sua composição. Para realizar a reutilização de componentes de forma eficaz no desenvolvimento de software baseado em componentes, é necessário medir a reutilização dos componentes. No entanto, devido à natureza de caixa preta dos componentes, em que a fonte desses componentes não está disponível, é difícil usar métricas convencionais no desenvolvimento baseado em componentes, pois essas métricas exigem a análise dos códigos-fonte. Nesta pesquisa, adotamos uma abordagem baseada na lógica FUZZY para estimar a reutilização dos componentes. Vários fatores de reutilização são levados em consideração.
