La poesía de Carlos Pérez Torres es aliada de la precisión, del ritmo y de la emoción. En esta Antología privada el autor reúne poemas escogidos de entre su mejor producción, predominando los textos de factura clásica, un camino que a él siempre le ha gustado explorar, desde sus primeros libros en los años 90 (con títulos como Ruegos y preguntas, o Llamada de la tierra), hasta su época más madura en los años 2000 y libros como Temblor o Razón de convivencia. El volumen se completa con material inédito escrito desde 2006 hasta la actualidad. Aquí, en los homenajes y dedicatorias que contiene este libro, más que nunca queda en evidencia la vinculación sentimental que para el autor tienen las dos bellas artes de la pintura y la literatura.
