Immediately after World War II, Antarctic uranium became the object of special attention from the press in the Soviet Union and abroad. The acute lack of information largely fueled the interest in this topic. However, even in the following decades the so-called 'uranium question', the problem of uranium in Antarctica was periodically actualized both on the pages of popular science and purely scientific, specialized publications.
