La presión internacional para el descubrimiento y arresto del primer asesino es enorme, ya que se cree que con su arresto el globo estallará y los asesinatos cesarán. Al frente del grupo de trabajo están los principales investigadores de la Policía Nacional española y de la Guardia Civil, la policía paramilitar.
