O objetivo deste estudo é descrever o perfil epidemiológico, os meios e os métodos de gestão anestésica dos pacientes em choque no âmbito das urgências obstétricas e digestivas. Realizámos um estudo retrospetivo e descritivo dos registos dos pacientes operados por urgências obstétricas e digestivas, durante o período de 1 de janeiro de 2011 a 31 de janeiro de 2012, no Hospital Ginecológico Obstétrico e Pediátrico de Yaoundé. O número de pacientes incluídos no estudo foi de 144. As patologias essenciais que chamaram a nossa atenção foram enumeradas e classificadas. No que diz respeito às urgências obstétricas, estas foram: rutura de gravidez ectópica, placenta prévia hemorrágica e hematomas retroplacentários, histerectomia hemostática, rutura uterina e hemoperitoneu. As emergências digestivas incluíram oclusões intestinais e peritonite. O RGEU foi a principal patologia suscetível de induzir instabilidade hemodinâmica. Metade dos doentes tinha idades compreendidas entre os 25 e os 35 anos.
