Die Nutzung von Kontextinformationen wurde für die Analyse von fMRI-Daten untersucht. Der Ansatz bestand aus zwei Phasen: Berechnung einer statistischen parametrischen Karte und Aktivierungserkennung durch kontextuelles Clustering. Der in dieser Arbeit vorgestellte iterative Clustering-Algorithmus basiert auf dem ICM-Algorithmus von Besag. Unser Beitrag bestand darin, die ICM im Zusammenhang mit Hypothesentests und statistischen parametrischen Karten anzuwenden und zu bewerten. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Leistungsfähigkeit des entwickelten kontextuellen Algorithmus der konventionellen Voxel-für-Voxel-Schwellenwertbildung einer statistischen parametrischen Karte überlegen ist. Obwohl fMRI-Daten zum Testen des Algorithmus verwendet wurden, ist die Konstruktion des Algorithmus allgemein und kann zur Erkennung von Objekten mit unbekannter Verteilung aus einer bekannten Hintergrundverteilung auch bei anderen ähnlichen Problemen verwendet werden.
