Tierantibiotika machen unsere Lebensmittel sicherer und die Menschen gesünder. Antibiotika sind ein wichtiges Mittel zur Vorbeugung, Bekämpfung und Behandlung von Krankheiten bei Tieren. Dadurch verringern sie auch die Gefahr der Übertragung von Bakterien vom Tier auf den Menschen. Florfenicol ist ein in der Tiermedizin verwendetes Arzneimittel, und alle bisher beschriebenen Methoden waren hauptsächlich auf dessen Nachweis in biologischen Flüssigkeiten ausgerichtet. Aus pharmazeutischer Sicht muss jedes Arzneimittel in seiner pharmazeutischen Formulierung chemisch bewertet werden (Gehalt in % und Stabilität). Daher hielten wir es für sinnvoll, einfache, direkte Methoden zu entwickeln, die leicht verfügbare, benutzerfreundliche, kostengünstige und robuste spektrophotometrische Verfahren nutzen und eine gute Präzision für die routinemäßige Qualitätskontrolle und Stabilitätsuntersuchungen von Florfenicol in seiner Darreichungsform bieten.
