L’elettrificazione della popolazione rurale è sempre stata una decisione strategica per i paesi con un alto potenziale di energia solare. Tuttavia, diverse tecnologie di energia rinnovabile e sostenibile possono essere adottate per l’elettrificazione, compreso il sistema fotovoltaico, diesel o ibrido (fotovoltaico e diesel). Tuttavia, la scelta tra queste opzioni dipende esclusivamente da molti fattori, l’affidabilità e il costo associato a queste tecnologie. Questo studio mira ad esaminare e analizzare un sistema fotovoltaico (PV) autonomo in un ambiente desertico (Sahara algerino). Per valutare le prestazioni elettriche di questo sistema fotovoltaico, viene condotto un esperimento nel villaggio di Fadnoun, situato a 2100 km a sud di Algeri (capitale algerina). L’esperimento durerà un anno e si valuterà l’affidabilità del sistema e il modo in cui questa elettrificazione influenza il consumo di energia degli abitanti del villaggio. Va notato che questo è il primo studio sperimentale di questo tipo condotto in Algeria.
