Lo studio ha combinato osservazioni comportamentali, sondaggi, interviste e disegni per esaminare i modelli di utilizzo in relazione agli ambienti e alle zone del parco. La triangolazione dei dati ha permesso di analizzare le preferenze e le sensazioni nei confronti degli ambienti, nonché di individuare una correlazione tra i dati demografici, quali il genere e l’età, e l’utilizzo del parco. I risultati ottenuti con un approccio multimetodologico hanno dimostrato come i modelli di utilizzo e le preferenze relative agli ambienti siano associati alle affordance e alle caratteristiche spaziali del parco. Infine, il libro offre alcune implicazioni progettuali volte a fornire soluzioni spaziali adatte alle esigenze dei vari utenti.
