The author details his life experiences in a raw and brutally honest manner. He reveals his homosexuality in the first sentence of the book and continues to describe his childhood growing up as a Navy brat in the nineteen sixties. He describes that his military style upbringing though mostly a happy one left him extremely naïve and unprepared for adulthood. The author takes you on a journey of true life experiences that include drug abuse, teenage suicide, and persecution by the federal government leading to time spent in a federal prison. He goes on to tell the harsh reality of living as a convicted felon and his struggle with anger management issues. All leading up to a wonderful doctor’s diagnosis that helps and inspires the author to tell his life story in the hopes that people with similar issues will seek out help. 3
