Plant nutrition and fertilization are essential factors in building an efficient agricultural production system. The supply of mineral and organic fertilizers causes changes in the chemical, physical, and biological conditions of the soil, with a consequent effect on crop productivity. This book promotes a study on the two types of fertilization for corn cultivation, through a literature review and the explanation of the results of two experiments carried out in a greenhouse. The experiments highlight the effect of different doses of the micronutrients zinc and boron (applied in mineral form) and the use of organic materials with different C/N ratios in degraded soil. However, there is no comparison between the two types of fertilization, but rather a demonstration of the effects of these different sources of essential elements on plant development.
