The Amazing Adventures of Six Million Dollars... When clever Air Force load masters Matt and Mark Sosinski receive orders to accompany a top secret shipment of five billion dollars from Fort Knox to Baghdad during the Iraq War, they see an amazing opportunity. The cash is earmarked to pay contractors who are trying to jump-start Iraq’s stagnant economy, but Matt and Mark see a chance to insure a happy retirement which is scheduled in a few months by ’liberating’ some of the money. On their return to the States, their plan to hide the money goes haywire when they are met just after landing and immediately shipped off on another mission before they can secure the funds. They call a trusted colleague to help them...and thus begins a roller-coaster adventure in which the money is transferred to a variety of unlikely locations by a cast of colorful characters, ending with a man who fears that the money could bring some terrible revenge down on him and his family if he keeps it, so he attempts to buy some time by hiding it-in a most unique place, only to die of a heart attack a few days later. His widow finds a note in his effects telling her about the money, with vague instructions about where to find it. Frustrated by her own unsuccessful attempts to find the stash, she hires a forensic auditor to help her track it down. Merriment and mayhem ensue, as the source and location of the six million dollars continues to baffle and beguile everyone who tries to learn the source and location of the fortune. Inventive and fast-paced, with vivid characters and a plot that will keep you guessing; An Accidental Fortune is a delightful thrill ride to keep you on the edge of your seat.
