AmoTakyi is a tragi-comedy. It is pathetic that a woman can give birth to her child and foreseeing his bright future, becomes poised to guillotine his ambition effortlessly.Such fate happens to the protagonist, Amo Takyi. As a multi-talented person, his own mother torments him both spiritually and physically. Instead of the mother assisting him to further his education after the demise of the child’s father, she hands over a pot of gold to her friend to safeguard.Amo Takyi’s education comes to abrupt end in Senior High School. He struggles in life. Scary moments that befall in life including witnessing a timber which turned to human face to scare him, coming face to face with his father’s ghost, a stout man alleged to be the spirit of a river body tormenting him, sleeping in the forest alone overnight when he gave birth and several others are ordeal that befall him.His first wife abandoning him and absconding with the children when Amo Takyi involves in an accident and goes blind is a sad situation.His uncle who is a fetish priest prophesies that Amo Takyi will kill his brother and place his body beside a river body.
