Livro de memórias do Coronel-Aviador Próspero Punaro Baratta Netto, participante da Revolta de Aragarças em 1959. Com a derrota do movimento que tentou depor o Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek, e após mais de um ano de exílio no Paraguai e na Argentina, Baratta Netto foi anistiado e reintegrado à Força Aérea Brasileira, onde ingressara em 1948, tomando parte pouco depois nos movimentos da Revolução de 1964. Foi ajudante de ordens (1965) e secretário (1967-1971) do Ministro da Aeronáutica, Marechal-do-Ar Márcio de Souza Mello, incluindo o período em que este integrou a Junta Governativa Provisória (1969) que assumiu a Presidência da República. Já Coronel, Baratta Netto foi comandante da Base Aérea de Belém (1979-1981), função na qual recepcionou na capital paraense o Papa João Paulo II. Passou para a reserva em 1981. Nascido em Niterói-RJ em 12/05/1929, faleceu no Rio de Janeiro-RJ em 07/09/2006, casado desde 1952 com Maria de Lourdes Carvalho Punaro Baratta (falecida em 07/08/2018), sem filhos. O livro foi publicado originalmente como edição independente do autor, provavelmente entre os anos de 2000 e 2002. Esta edição fac-símile foi organizada em 2022 por Daniel Mata Roque (sobrinho-bisneto do autor) a partir do exemplar original de Maura Punaro Baratta (irmã do autor, falecida em 15/10/2018).
