AmaZing Africa is an A-Z resource book on Africa. It seeks to change the African narrative by telling the African story. It begins with the author’s motivation for writing the book: to raise awareness of Africa and provide insights into aspects of its history, cultures and heritage. The book is divided into three chapters. The first chapter discusses Africa’s history, from ancient or precolonial times to its colonisation and aftermath. The second chapter features several characters from Africa such as drum, cowrie shell, family, herbalist, xylophone, and some animals unique to Africa, while the third chapter summarises the book and suggests several ways forward for Africa. As an added bonus, there are some African proverbs and their meanings. The book is intended to inform, educate and enlighten readers about the African continent.
