W tej książce badam historię północno-północno-wschodniej sceny alternatywnej stanu Santa Catarina w latach 1990-2010. W miastach takich jak Joinville, Guaramirim, Jaraguá do Sul i Schroeder (Santa Catarina, Brazylia) młodzi ludzie stworzyli kilka niezależnych zespołów, bez wsparcia wytwórni płytowych, inspirowanych punkiem i stylami alternatywnymi. Scena ta, zapoczątkowana w latach 90-tych, przeszła liczne zmiany organizacyjne w ciągu ostatnich dwóch dekad. Wśród czynników, które przyczyniły się do tych zmian, można wskazać masowe wykorzystanie Internetu i nowych technologii nagrywania cyfrowego jako głównych czynników modyfikujących sposób działania scen, które traciły grunt w miastach i zajmowały przestrzenie wirtualne. W tej książce starałem się więc przyjrzeć historii północno-północno-wschodniej sceny alternatywnej Santa Catarina, jej zespołom, jej przestrzeniom i jej głównym cechom, a poprzez jej historię relacjom między scenami alternatywnymi a polityką oraz relacjom między nimi a Internetem.
