Rodane, Sabina, Agatha, Quimby and a host of others from one of the most advanced ‘families’ for over a century have the most to lose. They are willing to put their own lives and interests on the line to recover artifacts left by others of their kind from centuries ago to safeguard their tools and secrets and prevent the renegades and others in league with them from obtaining them. If that were to occur, some very corrupt and criminal people would turn the gifts brought to Earth into weapons to endanger the entire planet just to enrich them. It would also allow them to extend their control over most of the globe. Stopping them is the first order, protecting their own identities may be a thing of the past and any uncovering of ancient secrets would change the history of the entire Earth.
